Government Affairs Committee

What We Do

The Government Affairs Committee spearheads INAAP’s advocacy efforts. As a professional organization with more than 600 pediatrician members, INAAP strives to be the voice for Indiana children at the Statehouse. Government Affairs Committee members work hard to identify important children’s health issues and to formulate the best way to educate legislators and the general public on the most prudent course of action on those issues.

In 2016, the Government Affairs Committee seeks to host a legislative conference which will provide a chance for INAAP members to sit down and speak directly to lawmakers about the challenges facing Hoosier children. The committee will also host a “Day at the Statehouse” during the 2017 legislative session which will give INAAP members a chance to interact with lawmakers and give children’s health issues a presence in the House of Representatives and Senate.
