Government Affairs Committee

What We Do

The Government Affairs Committee spearheads INAAP’s advocacy efforts. As a professional organization with more than 900 pediatrician members, INAAP strives to be the voice for Indiana children at the Statehouse. Government Affairs Committee members work hard to identify important children’s health issues and to formulate the best way to educate legislators and the general public on the most prudent course of action on those issues.

In 2018, INAAP will be working with Bose Public Affairs to have a strong, consistent voice at the Statehouse during the legislative session. Our members will also provide testimony on a variety of topics that have the potential to affect child health or the practice of pediatrics. A real-time “bill track list” is available on this page that will show all of the bills that INAAP is actively following. INAAP will provide education and testimony on many of these bills throughout the legislative session. If you have questions about a particular bill, or of there is a bill you think INAAP needs to add to the list, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
