Why Join INAAP?

Because What We Do Matters

We are all so busy now — our job as pediatricians, keeping up with new regulations and literature, our families, and all the other things in life! Why should you even consider adding one more thing to this? Because INAAP focuses on why we became physicians and pediatricians in the first place.

Our mission statement says that we are committed to the attainment of optimal physical, mental and social health for all infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Goals each of us strive for all the time. But how often do you get frustrated by all the barriers to accomplishing these goals? How often do you come up against lack of insurance, prior authorization barriers, or outright refusal for needed care? As individuals we have very little power to change the environment that causes these problems. However, as a member of a group that is highly respected by both the public and by legislators, we have the ability to create real change and to make things better for both patients and pediatricians.

We are affiliated and strongly supported by National AAP, but they can’t work on all of our state’s problems – only we can. Join us and contribute your expertise and experience towards creating a better life for your patients and yourself. Don’t wait for someone else to do it! You will feel better knowing that you are part of an organization actively creating solutions. INAAP also provides great networking and relationship-building experiences. Are you an early-career physician or a recent transplant to Indiana? Getting involved with INAAP will allow you to plug into your professional community and will open doors on both a personal and professional level.

Our organization can’t do anything without individuals willing to volunteer their time and effort to make their state a better place. Come join us and help be the change you want to see in Indiana.
